Cup O' Coffee face mask

Hey everyone! How are you all doing? Today, I'll be reviewing a wonderful Lush product- the Cup O' Coffee face mask! I adore Lush so much, and I have alot of love for their fresh face masks. So, lets get into it!

I've been on the lookout for a new face mask to whip my skin into shape for the Summer. I was looking for a mask that would exfoliate, deal with dry skin whilst keeping oil production in check. Cup O' Coffee seemed to offer exactly that. Not only can you use this face mask on your face, but you can also apply it on to your body. The Cup O' Coffee face mask promises to: Deeply cleanse away any impurities from pores. The coffee acting as a gentle face scrub to buff away dry skin and reveal the fresh and glowing skin underneath.
Funnily enough, I'm not a coffee fan. I just don't like the taste of coffee at all. However, coffee is one of my favourite scents ever. Cup O' Coffee has a deep, dark and aromatic strong scent, which I adore. As it has a strong smell of coffee, if you're not a fan of the smell of coffee, Cup O' Coffee won't be the face mask for you. The key ingredients in Cup O' Coffee are: Coffee Arabica- Rich and aromatic, Coffee Arabica acts as an exfoliator, to buff away dry skin. Kaolin- Absorbs any excess oil. Vetivert Oil- Restorative and relaxing. Organic Agave Syrup- Anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

As Cup O' Coffee contains Coffee Arabic to fight dry skin and Kaolin that fights oily skin, it is the perfect mask for combination skin. The coffee in this masks refreshes and gives me an extra boost. A fabulous mask to use if you have time in the morning. Cup O' Coffee is proving to be a wonderful mask to get my skin Summer ready! The coffee scent lasts long after it's washed off. The Agave Syrup however, does make this mask very sticky in texture, and the ground coffee makes it a messy mask to take off.

Cup O' Coffee made my skin feel so fresh and soft. The coffee was a fantastic exfoliator, I felt it really gave my skin a deep clean and removed any impurities. It gave my skin an extra glow. It both buffed away dead skin and kept any excess oil at bay.
The Cup O' Coffee mask costs €9.75 for a 150g pot, and I give it 9/10!
Have you tried this face mask yet? What were your thoughts? What is your go to face mask? Let me know below!

A standstill?

Hey guys!
Remember me? The girl who blogs about skincare and make-up with resting bitchface and a penchant for cats? I'm really really aware I haven't blogged in a little over two weeks, believe me. I've been pushing blogging to the back of my mind as of late. After a whiskey or two, I thought I would update you all on why that is so. No written outline to this blog, just words. Before I get started, I would like to thank you all for getting me to 40'000 views three weeks ago! It really means so much to me.
My passion in life, is baking and cake decorating. I'm working hard to go freelance with my baking, business wise. Which means blogging has not been my focus, at all lately. Baking in general, has been going so well. I made over 80 chocolate tuxedo and dress strawberries for my best friends wedding. The day after the wedding, the wedding decorator asked to talk to me, and I got an offer to do the same strawberries for other weddings! During the Summer, I will also be selling my baking at a local market, testing out my audience and getting my name out there! I had a logo professionally designed by Jemma over at Dorkface, who I wholly recommend! She did an amazing job!

Of course, going freelance with my baking hasn't been without its odd freakout, by any means. What if I can't afford all of this? What if I get a complicated order? Are my carving skills up to par? What if I get no orders at all? What if, what if, what if? It's a risk I know I have to take. I love baking. I wholly intend to make a living from it. I have never been as passionate about anything, ever. It's something I have a natural knack for. I make sure I'm constantly learning and developing my skills.
As you can imagine, so much of my creative energy and focus has gone into making sure my endeavours pay off. Creatively speaking, I don't have much room for anything else... right now.
I still love blogging, and I do have ideas for upcoming blogs. Blogging is just not my main focus right now. Especially beauty blogging, as some of you will know, does add up cost wise. Trying to keep up with the Joneses and the latest launches while trying to fund your dreams, can be next to impossible.
Back in December, I created an account on GoFundMe. Any donations would go towards equipment and ingredients to afford my dream. With my last kind donation, I was able to buy sugarpaste, colour pastes, moulds, cutters, lustres and a top tier cake tin! I will leave my GoFundMe page here if you would like to donate, or simply spread the word.
In the next few weeks, I will try and return to my usual twice a week posts. Right now, I can't make any promises. I love to blog, and I really hope I can return to my usual schedule very soon.
Thank you all for reading,
Stay fab xo

UPDATED| The Skincare Tag

Hey guys! How are you all doing today? I had the best weekend ever! My best friend got married during the week, which I was bridesmaid for. It was such a wonderful weekend and I have never been so proud of anyone in my entire life. To be present watching your best friend since you were 12 get married and starting a new life, is the highest regard. I was looking over my older posts a few days ago when I came across a skincare tag I did over a year and a half ago. It has really changed and I thought I would update it a bit. Feel free to steal it if you want to do it too!

Describe your skincare routine in five words:
Relaxing, necessary, French, careful and lengthy!

What is your skin type?
Normal to combination. In general my skin gives me little trouble besides the odd breakout on my chin. My T-Zone gets oily during the hotter months, and dry during the Winter.

What is your favourite skincare product?
Ahhh. I have a few I adore! Effaclar Duo+ has been a godsend. I adore Clarins Eclat Du Jour and Origins Checks and Balances. However, I could not be without Trilogy's Rosehip Oil!

What's your top blemish zapper?
I have to say, my much loved Grease Lightning by Lush has lost its crown to La Roche Posay's Effaclar Duo+ cream. Thanks to that, my chin barely breaks out anymore!
Facewipes. Yay or nay?
Not in a million years.

Toners. Yay or nay?
I love toners! They make my skin feel calm and extra clean. Eau Roma from Lush is my Holy Grail toner.

High end or drug store skincare products?
I really prefer high end skincare products. I think they are just worth the investment. There's no point buying high end make-up if you're not going to invest in great skincare. However, Simple's Kind To Skin moisturiser is a constant repurchase for me.

Top skincare tips?
Drink loads of water to keep your skin hydrated. Even if you are new to a skincare routine, stick to a twice daily routine. Now and then is not enough, consistency is key. Stay away from products with alcohol and shop for products according to your skin type.

Current skincare products?
Garnier micellar water, Origins Never A Dull Moment cleanser, Eau Roma toner, Simple Kind To Skin moisturiser, La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+, Clarins Eye Contour Gel, Botanics, Microdermabrasion Polish and Trilogy Rosehip Oil. Of course I don't use these all at once. It depends on my skin's needs at the time.

Have you ever used Pro-Activ?
Nah. I have no need to. My skin isn't acne prone and I don't trust its ingredients. I'm of the opinion that if a product needs a celebrity to sell it, the product probably isn't that fantastic in the first place. The product should speak for itself.

Skincare products you want to try?
Clarins Blue Orchid oil, Lush's Enchanted eye cream, Origins Out of Trouble face mask. I have so many skincare products I am dying to try! Those are the first ones that came to mind though.

Do you skip any skincare steps?
I don't think so. I always forget SPF though, haha.

How do you remove make-up?
Using Garnier Micellar Water. Leaves my skin so squeaky clean and feeling fresh!

If you could change one thing about your skin, what would it be?
The scars Benzoyl Peroxide left on my chin and my freckles.

And that's my updated skincare tag! Feel free to add it to you own blog. Link it to me if you do the tag, I would love to read it!

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+

Hey guys! How are you all doing today? Today, I'll be talking about the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ cream. I heard about this cream ages ago. Of course I didn't have the funds at the time, and then I forgot all about it. After Christmas, I came across it in Boots, and I decided that I would pick it up. I thought it sounded like it would do just the trick, and it was exactly what my skin needed. Two years ago, I was under alot of stress, and my chin had a meltdown, with constant breakouts. Nothing I used helped. As it got worse, I went to an extreme and tried Benzoyl-Peroxide with bleach in it. I was left with alot of scarring! Eventually the breakouts were alot less frequent, but I was left with scarring. The Effaclar Duo cream was always recommended to me and I finally picked it up!

The La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo cream promises to: Correct the appearance of blemishes, unclogs blocked pores, helps refine skin texture, and to fight against the appearances of marks. Effaclar Duo cream is specifically formulated for oily and blemish prone skin, and for acne prone skin. The key ingredients in Effaclar Duo are: ProceradTM- An active ingredient to reduce the appearance of scarring. Niacinamide- A combination of LHA and Salicylic Acid. Buffs away dead skin cells, controls oil production and unblocks pores.

The Effaclar Duo cream is not hydrating, and is drying, which is perfect to dry up any nasty blemishes! Just be careful if you're looking for a cream to hydrate, this does the opposite. It is recommended that you apply Effaclar Duo+ cream all over your face daily. Because I have combination skin and that I only use this cream to target my chin, I only apply this cream on my chin or over any blemishes twice a day. This cream is non comedogenic (won't block your pores), is dermatologically tested, and is paraben free.

So how did Effaclar Duo+ get on with my skin? I loved it! From the first two days of applying this cream to my chin, I noticed how much calmer my skin looked, alot less red, irritated and angry. I have been religiously applying it for around four weeks, and it has massively reduced any breakouts! I think I have had only 2 or 3 blemishes since I've started using it. Not only has a obvious redness calmed down, the marks are fading, slowly but surely! I am so excited about Effaclar Duo+ and I couldn't be without it now! I'm less concious about my chin lately, and that's so wonderful.
I give the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ 10/10. I have so much love for it. It will be a staple in my skincare routine from now on. It costs €17.99 for a 40ml tube. It is truly worth every penny.
