The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

Hey guys! I hope you are all well! Today's post is on The Body Shop's Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter. I saw amazing reviews on this cleansing butter and it was on my list for ages! Unfortunately, I don't have a Body Shop store near where I live. :( So, when I was in Dublin, of course I didn't hesitate in picking this beauty up! It is the first cleansing butter that I've tried. This cleansing butter promises to melt away make-up, leave skin clean, refreshed, pampered and petal soft. It also promises to be suitable for sensitive skin.

The key ingredients in the Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter are: Olive Oil- Works as a cleanser, moisturiser and protector. It has four powerful antioxidants, including vitamins A and E. Helps to restore elasticity. Shea Butter- Moisturises and nourishes the skin. Sunflower Seed Oil- Contains vitamins A, C, D and E. Acts as an emulsifier (what helps it to go from an oil to a milk). Helps retain moisture. Effective against acne, eczema, inflammation, redness and irritation. And the star of the show, Camomile- It's a cure all for most mild skin conditions, you probably remember being doused in Camomile lotion if you had Chickenpox when you were younger, and it worked absolute wonders! It helps relieve dry, sore irritated skin. It calms down redness and is a powerful antiseptic. It has a similar texture to butter, it melts on to the skin like an oil and water emulsifies into a thin milk. Just applying it you can feel how fantastic it is for dry skin!

This cleansing butter did a better job than most cleansers at removing make-up, but not fully. I prefer to just use a micellar water anyway. It felt so luxurious and calming to use aswell, I love applying it so much. It left my skin feeling soft, smooth, fresh and clean. It calmed my skin down and some redness. It is a very gentle cleanser to use, so it's perfect for sensitive skin. I use this in the morning and at night. I apply it all over my face without using water, massage it in as it melts for a minute, splash water so it turns into a milk, rinse off and pat dry. The packaging is a shallow tin with a simple yet pretty design, even if the lid is a little finicky. I love the smell of this cleansing butter! It's a soft, subtle smell, the main scent being camomile. A major bonus for me about this cleansing butter is that it is not animal tested, which is really very important to me.

This cost me €13.95 for 90ml, which I think is a reasonable price. I give it an 8/10 and I would definitely repurchase!

Flake Away by Soap and Glory

Hey guys! Today's post is a quick review on Flake Away by Soap and Glory! I have to say, I'm not one for bath or shower lotions and potions and concoctions, but Lush and Soap and Glory are two brands I absolutely love and have changed my perspective on bath and shower products! Flake away is a really lovely sea salt scrub, that's bursting with their signature Pink scent, which I adore so much, the smell is addictive!

The key ingredients in Flake Away are: Shea Butter- To Nourish and soften the skin. Sea Salt- To buff away dead skin. Peach Seed powder- revitalises, hydrates and gets rid of dead skin cells. Grape Seed oil- An astringent oil that tightens skin, closes pores and moisturises. Sweet Almond oil- Nourishes skin, relieve dry, irritated skin, moisturises and improves complexion and helps it to glow. To use this, slather it on to wet skin all over, massage into the skin until the grains are gone and rinse off. Pat dry.
Flake Away left my skin feeling brighter, softer, hydrated and smoother, and it did a fantastic job at removing any dead skin, bringing new skin up to the surface, which looked healthy and bright. The Pink scent has an amazing staying power and I love it when it transfers on to my pyjamas and made them smell beautiful!

I bought the small tub which costs me €3.85, the bigger tubs costs €11.99. I give Flake Away 10/10 and I have already repurchased!
Have you ever used Flake Away or anything from the Soap and Glory range? What were your thoughts? Let me know below!

Max Factor Facefinity primer

Hey guys! How are you all doing? Today, I am reviewing Max Factor's Facefinity primer. The search for the perfect, everyday, all rounder primer can be difficult, but once you find it, you could never be without it. As I continue with my search, I picked up Facefinity as I heard so many fantastic reviews on this primer, especially from Tattooed Tealady, I couldn't wait to give it a go! I wear this over moisturiser, under foundation, but you can wear it on its own aswell. I have to say I really like the texture and consistency of Facefinity, even though it feels more like a moisturiser, and I prefer a silicone base, it feels so silky soft, lightweight and just plain lovely.

When you pump this out, it is white in colour, but it is transparent when it's blended in, and it leaves a lovely sheen on your face, without being shiny. Using Facefinity as a primer has made a fantastic base for the rest of my make-up, and has made my foundation look better and has given my skin more life. Facefinity claims that it ''extends the wear of foundation'' and that is very true, this primer has made my foundation last all day! Even around my oily patches, like my nose and chin, my foundation wears alot better compared to when I use other primers. With Facefinity, a little definitely goes a long way, so I think I'll get a few months out of the bottle!
Even though I usually prefer a silicone based primer, I feel that this one really does a fantastic job on the main reason I use a primer- mattifying and keeping oil at bay. It doesn't ''sit'' on the skin, but it sinks in nicely. I love the pretty simple yet chic packaging of this primer. Not only is it pretty, it's practical too. It's a sturdy glass bottle with a pump, very hygienic and no waste! Facefinity also includes SPF 20, which protects the face from the elements, such as the sun and the wind. For a 30ml bottle, this cost me €13.99, which I think is a good price for a great primer!

I give this a 9/10 and I would 100% repurchase! It might just be my perfect match for an everyday, all rounder primer!
Which primer do you reach for everyday? Let me know below!

The Versatile Blogger Award!

Hey guys, and welcome to my 100th post! Can you believe it? If it wasn't for you fabulous readers and my own love of my little old blog, I might have never reached 100 posts *wipes away tear*. In the triple digits now... Before I get too mushy and show myself to have real people feelings (keep that to yourself) let me tell you a bit about this post. I was nominated by the lovely Amy from Batwings & Lashes to do this post. Don't forget to check out Amy's blog, I love it! The Versatile Blogger Award is basically a way to tell your readers a bit more about yourself by sharing seven facts about yourself! Read more about the Versatile Blogger Award here. Now, on to my seven facts!

1) I am a very introverted person. I find it incredibly hard to make new friends, because I've made bad choices in the past, and when people try to be my friend, I unknowingly push them away. I truly am trying to change this. It's hard, but, I have high hopes. I have a small group of people I'm very close to, and I wouldn't trade them for anything in this world! :) I've been thinking of doing a blog or two on social anxiety and being an introvert, but I don't want it to come off as a sob story or something. Would this be something you would like to read? Let me know below. :)

2) Besides my dream of travelling the world, my career dream is to be my own boss. I've always known I've wanted to work for myself, in the creative field. I've thankfully turned out to be very creatively minded with buckets of ambition. I want to open my very own coffee shop for people who can't sleep through the night. Hours would probably something like 4pm-5am. I have a clear idea of what it will look like, full of my own personal touches everywhere. My own baking, theme nights, live music, spoken word nights and movie nights! It makes me happy to think about it. :) I want to open up a second savings account to put by a nest egg for it soon. :)

3) If you're lost and need directions somewhere, do not ask me! I will send you the wrong way completely. Not on purpose, I'm just very directionally challenged, I've grown to accept that. I'll forever love Google Maps!

4) Black is without a doubt, my favourite colour to wear. It's flattering, fabulous, timeless and elegant. My wardrobe is 75% black, and I wouldn't have it any other way! I bought a black cardigan from New Look a week ago and it comes all the way down to the ground! My new favourite.  I feel like the love child of Severus Snape and Morticia Addams in it!

5) I have five tattoos. A hummingbird on the back of my leg, an owl on the back of my other leg, the quote ''Normal is an illusion, what's normal for the spider, is chaos for the fly'' on my ribs, the face of my old cat  on my shoulder, and a music note on the back of my neck. I currently have seven piercings, my ear lobe, my other ear is stretched to 20mm, scaffolding piercing, my lip, my nose, my tongue webbing and a smiley piercing. My retired piercings are my neck, my hips and vertical tragus.

6) In a completely sane way and purely curious manner, I love reading or watching anything to do with serial killers. Especially the Manson Family. I just find them interesting, why they did what they did. I love the profiling and reading into the psyches of serial killers. I've loved anything on serial killers since I was young and I used to watch FBI Files with my dad, that's how I got into it. Next on my to read list is Manson In His Words.

7) My childhood love was Spike from Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I always did like my men dressed head to toe in black. ;)

I tag the following for the Versatile Blogger Award:

Catherine Ann from CatherineAnnMinnock

Julie from Raining Cake

Kassi from Makeupartistas

Sally from Wheelingalong24

I don't mind who else wants to take part in this at all, and I hope you found this interesting to read. :)

One off the Bucketlist- Seeing Slipknot live!

Hey guys! How are you all doing? Today, I'm sharing with you the best nights of my life, which was this Wednesday night. Something I've waited for for seven years. On Wednesday, I saw Slipknot, my favourite band ever live for the first time! :D

Dublin was their first stop in the European part of their Prepare For Hell tour. If you know me, you'll know how much I love them! To be honest, I'm finding it hard to write this post because I actually can't find the words to describe to amazing that night was! You know when you wait a long time for something and when it finally arrives, it's not what you hoped for? This wasn't the case, it was so much more, so much better than I could have imagined or built up in my head! I was excited that they played a few of my favourites that I wasn't expecting to hear, like Vermillion and Three Nil. But the icing on the cake? When they play Spit It Out, there's a part in the song when all the crowd has to get on the ground and stay there until Corey Taylor, the lead singer shouts ''Jump the fuck up!'' and I was part of that! When I looked at YouTube videos of Slipknot playing live, I always wanted to be a part of the crowd during that!

Seeing Slipknot live has crossed one thing off my bucketlist. I went up to Dublin with my boyfriend, a fellow Maggot and stayed the night, it was so perfect, I can't even describe. Even though now I have a serious case of post concert blues! Was it worth waiting two hours in Baltic conditions, right after recuperating after a particularly nasty flu, and expecting another one any day? Without a goddamn doubt! Also, I managed to get to the barrier at the very front, which was so mind blowing, to see the members of Slipknot up so close in the flesh.

Headlining for Slipknot was a band I never heard of called King, who were really good, I liked the vocals alot. Korn was right before Slipknot, despite growing out of Korn somewhat (Though I still enjoy them) put on an absolutely fantastic show and really got the crowd going! I wish I could live that night a hundred times over. Best night, ever!
What was your best night ever? Let me know below!

Snow Fairy Sparkle massage bar

Hey guys! Today, I will be reviewing Lush's Snow Fairy Sparkle massage bar. Because Winter is harsh on my skin, I've really gotten into a step of skincare I never bothered with before unless I have something really nice- body lotion. If you're a fan of Lush, you'll know of Snow Fairy, and it's almost edible, amazing, sweet, addictive scent, which I absolutely adore, so I had to pick this up! Snow Fairy Sparkle is an angel shaped massage bar with a soft centre filled with Shea Butter and silver lustre. You rub this all over your skin after a shower, leaving skin feeling soft, luminous, and smelling amazing.

I absolutely love this massage bar! It left my skin feeling soft, moisturised, smelling amazing for ages. Seriously, the staying power of Snow Fairy Sparkle is fantastic. It left a gorgeous silver lustre all over- which reminded me of the '90's when body glitter was all the rage. ;) Though it had a much more subtle and elegant finish, which looks really great, especially in the right light. Very eye catching. I think this would be particularly suiting if you're having a pampering session, or going out dancing with your friends! The key ingredients in Snow Fairy Sparkle are: Shea Butter- Softens, moisturises and nourishes the skin. Murumuru Butter- Protects and moisturises skin. Almond Oil-  Leaves skin feeling silky smooth. I use this either putting it near the heater, letting it melt slightly and gliding it along my skin or taking off a little bit and warming it in my hands and applying it directly. However, Snow Fairy Sparkle has a slow drying time, so you can't dress straight away. This can also be used in the bath but I won't put it in the bath, I prefer using it as a lotion.
This cost me €4.85 and I would 100% repurchase! 10/10.

Have you tried Snow Fairy Sparkle? What did you think? Let me know below!

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Cleansing and Perfection Milk

Hey guys, happy Hump Day. ;) I hope you are all doing well and having a good week. Today I'll be reviewing L'Oreal's Skin Perfection Cleansing and Perfection Milk! Hopefully, without sounding like a snob, I usually buy skincare that's more high end. Skincare is my one indulgence, and I don't mind paying if I know it'll work. I bought this cleansing milk the day before Christmas Eve (I don't have to tell you how mental that day is in town) and I had just ran out of my previous cleanser, so in an emergency, I picked this up. I get on well with L'Oreal skincare products, so I thought I would give this a go.
This cleansing milk says it is suitable for sensitive skin and eyes, it is dermatologically and  ophthalmologically (tested on eyes) tested. It is also hypo-allergenic and has no alcohol- hurrah! It promises to- remove make-up, even waterproof make-up, and impurities. To reveal hydrated and silky smooth skin. That is is suited for sensitive skin and eyes. To hydrate with with moisture and it also promises to improve the texture of skin. I absolutely love the smell of this cleansing milk! It smells similar to Clarin's Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Shea Butter, very buttery and nutty, like cocoa butter, delicious! I use this morning and night after a micellar water pre cleanse. I rub this on wet skin, work it in and rinse with cold water. It feels so soft, soothing and gentle on the skin and it doesn't sting my sensitive eyes at all!

And the results? While it doesn't fully remove make-up, it certainly does a better job than other milky cleansers and make-up removers, I'm looking at you, Akane make-up remover and you, La Roche Posay Dermo Cleanser. It feels soothing and calms my skin down. It left my skin feeling incredibly soft, refreshed and clean. It also felt hydrated and it really works well on sensitive skin and eyes. A little goes a long way with this cleansing milk. The L'Oreal Skin Perfection Cleansing and Perfection Milk is a great back-up cleanser and is it one for those with sensitive or stressed skin on a budget.

This cost me €5.99 for 200ml and I think it is really worth it! I give it an 8/10 and I would definitely repurchase. Have you tried  L'Oreal Skin Perfection Cleansing and Perfection Milk before? What did you think? Let me know below!

L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint!

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of make-up and beauty reviews! I haven't had much money to spare lately because of Christmas. However, I am going shopping in Dublin Friday so I will definitely have a alot more beauty, skincare and make-up reviews up soon! Today, I come at you with a review on L'Oreal's Nude Magique Eau De Teint foundation!

I bought L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint because the place I buy it usually had sold out of my favourite True Match foundation, so I picked this up in an emergency. I heard good things about it and there was a shade called Porcelain, so I figured it would work for me. I bought this foundation in the lightest shade they had, which was called Porcelain. This was a little bit off putting to buy because it had water on the top of the foundation, but I was told you had to shake it well as it has a thin, watery and runny consistency, which it does. I would describe this foundation as medium coverage. I think the packaging is very pretty, but it is so inconvenient! It's a glass bottle, without any pump! There's nothing to take out foundation easily. That with a very runny foundation means pouring out too much and waste. I don't know who thought this packaging was a good idea!

Myself and L'Oreal must have a very different idea of what Porcelain is! This foundation was way too dark for me! It also has yellow undertones when I have pink undertones, so it doesn't suit me too well at all. I might save it for night time or during the Summer. Other than the shade, it is a lightweight, breathable foundation and it wears well throughout the day. It contains SPF 18 so it will protect your face from the elements to an extent. As the shade Porcelain is the lightest shade in this foundation range, and it doesn't suit me, it could have been a repurchase if it wasn't for that.

I give L'Oreal's Nude Magique Eau De Teint 5/10 and I won't be repurchasing. This cost me €13 for 20ml.
